ETHICAL

Neal's Yard Remedies is the world's first beauty and health company to be awarded 100/100 for ethics (in an independant audit by the Ethical Company Organisation) and the first in the UK to achieve Fair For Life certification, which ensures farmers and producers get a fair deal for their work and a social premium for community projects.

They have also pioneered FairWild sustainable harvested wild ingredients, which ensures a fair deal throughout the supply chain.

REDUCING OUR PACKAGING

All Neal's Yard Remedies iconic blue glass bottles protect against sunlight, which allows them to create purer products with fewer preservatives.

They use recyclable packaging, sourced from the UK wherever possible to reduce transport miles. All the gift boxes and product cartons are FSC® (Forestry Stewardship Council) sustainability-sourced, and use World Land Trust™ certified Carbon Balanced packaging. This means that they offset the amount of CO2 used to make their packaging by protecting tropical forest. Since 2012 Neal's Yard has helped save over 1,000,000m² of endangered forest, offsetting 250 tonnes of CO2

CRUELTY FREE AND VEGETARIAN

Neal's Yard Remedies are certified by Cruelty Free International, which guarantees their products have not been tested on animals, and meets the Humane Cosmetics Standard for cosmetics, toiletries and personal care.

All of Neal's Yard Remedies products are vegetarian and many are also suitable for vegans (see the individual product pages for details of their vegan products) and they only use sustainably sourced, organic honey, beeswax and propolis.

ORGANIC

Neal's Yard Remedies certify their products with the Soil Association, internationally recognised for their incredibly high standards for organic food and beauty. This guarantees that a product contains the highest levels of certified organic ingredients. Neal's Yard's new products are now certified (by the Soil Association) to the new robust organic standard for health and beauty worldwide COSMOS Organic.
